Boy George Sentence to Fifteen Months in Prison

Boy George, the ex-singer of Culture Club whose real name is George O’Dowd, was sentenced to fifteen months in prison today by Snaresbrook Crown Court in London.

Last month, Boy George was found guilty unanimously by a jury after a seven day trial in which he was accused of chaining a male escort to the wall in his London apartment. The escort, Audun Carlsen, also claims that Boy George beat him with a metal chain while imprisoned.

Boy George has maintained his innocence throughout the trial and sentencing.

Kim Kardashian’s Sister Khloe Is Going to Jail

Way back on March 4th 2007 Khloe Kardashian, the least famous of the Kardashian brats clan, got a DUI and was sentenced to 36 months probation. Khloe, who had a blood alcohol level of .13 ( the legal limit is .08 ) at the time she was pulled over, was also sentenced to pick up trash with Cal Trans.

This month, it has come to light that she has not been complying with the Cal Trans requirements or the alcohol education program, and the judge overseeing her case has ordered she serve 30 days in jail. On Friday, July 18th, she will surrender herself (and thus miss the opening weekend of The Dark Knight) to begin serving her term.

Never one to miss a spotlight opportunity, Kim noted on her blog “I urge people to learn from the mistakes of others. Please drink responsibly and it’s never acceptable to drink and drive!”
