Yesterday William Balfour pleaded not guilty for the murders of members of Jennifer Hudson’s family – Darnell Donerson, Jason Hudson, and Julian King. Balfour was indicted last month for three counts of murder.
The murders are believed by investigators to have happened after Balfour had a fight with his estranged wife Julia, who is Jennifer Hudson’s sister.
Balfour is scheduled for a court date of January 27th, and is currently being held at Illinois Department of Corrections.
Actor Lillo Brancato Jr, who starred in a few early episodes of The Sopranos and co-starred alongside Robert DeNiro in A Bronx Tale, has been found guilty on charges of attempted burglary.
The criminal case stems back to 2005, when Brancato and his friend Steven Armento broke into a man’s home looking for Valium. Brancato said during his trial that the home’s owner gave them permission to stop by whenever they wanted some pills.
The criminal activity took a tragic turn when during the break-in Daniel Enchautegui, a cop that lived next door, came by to investigate. Armento shot the off-duty cop in the chest, who died at the scene. Enchautegui shot both Brancato and Armento several times before dying. Armento was found guilty of murder in November, and was sentenced to life in prison.
While Brancato was found guilty of attempted burglary, he was acquitted on two other burglary counts and a murder charge. Brancato could face up to 15 years for the attempted burglary charge.
After being voted off of Survivor Gabon, Ace Gordon found himself drinking in a bar in Naples Florida. After being tossed out of the bar for reportedly striking a female patron, Gordon was systematically arrested by police called to the scene.
Gordon was charged early Sunday morning with disorderly intoxication, obstruction of an officer and resisting arrest while “repeatedly [telling] deputies he was famous.” Gordon was released from Collier County jail later that day.
“Winner” of season six of The Bachelor, Mary Delgado, was arrested over the weekend in Del Rio Texas on charged including public intoxication, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Delgado had been drinking at Del Rio bar Lorina’s Cantina. When asked to leave, the intoxicated Delgado refused to go. Cops were called, and during transit to station, Delgado destroyed the radio in the police cruiser.
Byron “The Bachelor” Velvick later posted bond for Delgado’s release. Delgado had been previously arrested for allegedly punching Velvick in the face.
Heather Locklear was arrested on suspicion of DUI Saturday night after local resident called cops when they saw her “driving erratically” as she left a parking lot.
California Highway Patrol found Locklear pulled over on the side of the road, blocking a lane, and determined that she was under the influence of alcohol or drugs and arrested her on the spot. No one at this time has come forward filing DUI injury charges due to her driving.
Locklear was tested and came out clean for alcohol. Drug tests are still being conducted. Locklear was later released without having to post bail.
The alleged stalker of Janet Peterson, the ex-wife of celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson, Nicholas Marino has apparently been on the loose in the city of Beverly Hills after escaping custody of his psychiatrist who was driving him around.
Marino was in the middle of a love triagle of the Peterson, which eventually led to their divorce. Mario had been arrested on charges of terrorizing Janet.
Just yesterday, Marino finally turned himself in. He had been considered armed and extremely dangerous by the FBI.
Andy Dick, one of the more psychotic and attention-pandering-celebs out there today, will not be charged with a sexual assault in an allegation that he pulled a seventeen-year old’s top down outside the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Murrieta CA last month. However, the former star of News Radio and The Andy Dick Show still faces multiple charges from that evening. Among them include:
- unlawful possession of a controlled substance
- public intoxication
- possession of less than one ounce of marijuana
Among the sordid details of his arrest include this nugget from officer’s report “… Dick was escorted back to the holding area … At one point I noticed Dick sat up from the floor and his pants were soaked from the waist area to the ankles. Dick has just urinated on himself.”
What a Dick.
No word on how the Hollywood has-been (was he ever “in” to begin with?) will plead.
Way back on March 4th 2007 Khloe Kardashian, the least famous of the Kardashian brats clan, got a DUI and was sentenced to 36 months probation. Khloe, who had a blood alcohol level of .13 ( the legal limit is .08 ) at the time she was pulled over, was also sentenced to pick up trash with Cal Trans.
This month, it has come to light that she has not been complying with the Cal Trans requirements or the alcohol education program, and the judge overseeing her case has ordered she serve 30 days in jail. On Friday, July 18th, she will surrender herself (and thus miss the opening weekend of The Dark Knight) to begin serving her term.
Never one to miss a spotlight opportunity, Kim noted on her blog “I urge people to learn from the mistakes of others. Please drink responsibly and it’s never acceptable to drink and drive!”
