Jimmy Smith, formerly of the NFL Jacksonville Jaguars, was arrested yesterday April 22nd for multiple drug charges.
After being pulled over by local police, Smith was booked on charges including:
- felony possession of cocaine
- possession of 20 grams or less of marijuana
- possession of drug paraphernalia
- driving with a suspended license
Smith is currently being held at John E. Goode Pretrial Detention Facility on bond of $5006.
Back in August, Suge Knight was arrested in Las Vegas for allegedly attacking his girlfriend, and during the arrest he was found to have two controlled substances, meth and hydrocodone, on his person.
This weekend, Knight was finally officially charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor for battery.
More to come on this, as lawyers from Clark County and for the defense start to make their initial statements.
El DeBarge, who was arrested earlier this month on suspicion of crack cocaine possession, is being sent to California State Prison in Lancaster to immediately begin a two year sentence. The judge in the case decided that his conduct during the bust was enough to violate his probation from his 2007 drug case.
Eighties pop singer El Debarge was arrested earlier this month for possession of a controlled substance, and is currently in jail without bail thanks in part to two other warrents for his arrest.
El Debarge, whose real life moniker is Patrick Eldra Debarge, was arrested last year as well on multiple charges including vandalism, drugs and domestic violence.
He will be back in court tomorrow. We’ll just see where this leads.
Last month I reported that Actor Ryan O’Neal and his son Redmond had been arrested for drug possession of Methamphetamine. Now, both men have been officially charged with felony possession of methamphetamines. In addition, Redmond was charged with two misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and one misdemeanor count of illegal possession of pepper spray. Redmond is already on probation for a heroin and crystal meth arrest earlier in the year, so this will probably not go well. That is, unless they have an awesome criminal law attorney who can defend them and work to get these very serious charges reduced.
Both men are scheduled for arraignment on November 13th.
Over the weekend, a 45-year old man was arrested in a London public toilet on suspicion of drug possession after a tip-off from the bathroom attendant, and later released with a “caution” for possession of class A and class C drugs.
Although Michael was not named by police, other sources were later able to confirm his identity. Michael pleaded guilty last May for driving while unfit and was banned from driving for two years. In an interview last year, Michael proudly proclaimed “…and I can afford my marijuana so that’s not a problem.”
During a routine probation search of the home of actor Ryan O’Neal, who recently starred in TV series Bones, was charged for drug possession after a vial of Methamphetamine was allegedly found in his bedroom.
But the real stinger is that O’Neal’s son Redmond was also found holding a vial of meth on his person.
Both Ryan and Redmond were arrested and now being held on $10,000 bail. Nothing says father/son bonding like a good upper. Now that’s family values you can believe in!
The cigar-chomping, scotch-swilling comedian Ron White, who is part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour team along with Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy, was arrested yesterday for possessing under 20 grams of marijuana and drug paraphenilia.
White was released after posting $1,000 bond.
Andy Dick, one of the more psychotic and attention-pandering-celebs out there today, will not be charged with a sexual assault in an allegation that he pulled a seventeen-year old’s top down outside the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Murrieta CA last month. However, the former star of News Radio and The Andy Dick Show still faces multiple charges from that evening. Among them include:
- unlawful possession of a controlled substance
- public intoxication
- possession of less than one ounce of marijuana
Among the sordid details of his arrest include this nugget from officer’s report “… Dick was escorted back to the holding area … At one point I noticed Dick sat up from the floor and his pants were soaked from the waist area to the ankles. Dick has just urinated on himself.”
What a Dick.
No word on how the Hollywood has-been (was he ever “in” to begin with?) will plead.
22-year old rapper Yung Berg (who previously went by the name Ice Berg, and whose very ungangsta real name is Christian Ward) was arrested in New York City over the weekend and charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of marijuana and menacing.
After a limo driver had a dispute with Berg and four of his buddies, he reported a complaint to the police. When police investigated, they found Berg and slapped him and his friends with the charges. It is unknown at this time if he has hired a New York City drug crimes lawyer for defense.
Yung Berg’s album “Look What You Made Me Do” hits shelves tomorrow, so these charges will probably do nothing but improve sales.
