Thirteen years to the day after OJ Simpson was acquitted of murder charges, he was found guilty on twelve criminal charges, including armed robbery, kidnapping and burglary.

Simpson, along with his co-defendant, are now in jail and will remain there until December when they will face sentencing.  The charges against Simpson could put him in jail for the rest of his life.

Simpson’s defense lawyers plan to appeal, and believe that Simpson’s prior trial and acquittal tainted the jury and led to their decision to find Simpson guilty.

  1. You know what the major difference between this and other celeb trials is? IT DIDN’T HAPPEN IN LA. Maybe we should start moving all matters concerning celebs to alternate jurristicions. LOVE to see how the 1st Circuit would deal with the Anna Nicole matter- i don’t think those Maine folks would take too kindly to her devious methods.

  2. I couldn’t agree more, sensational cases involving figures who are in the public eye get serious preferential treatment. Whether it’s OJ in the absurd way his first trial proceeded or Anna Nicole being allowed to frivolously forum shop her tired estate case or Wesley Snipes being able to quietly settle his tax evasion charges. There needs to be a clear standard and it needs to be implemented across people from all walks of life. There shouldn’t be a separate standard for celebrities.
